Technical tours will take place from 11:30-12:30 on Friday 9th November at Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Intelligent Robots and Systems (BAICIRS), Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT). The conference organizers will arrange buses to pick up the participants who are willing to join in the technical tours from and to the conference venue.
BAICIRS is among the first 13 innovation centers identified by the Beijing Municipal Government. The center aims to strengthen innovation-oriented development of robot and serves for national scientific and technological innovation centers to achieve transformation of advanced industries in Beijing.
Affiliated to Beijing Institute of Technology, the center focuses on frontier science and technology, major scientific and technological needs of China and the field of intelligent robotics. The center draws on interdisciplinary integration of molecular bionics, bionic mechanics, bio-sensing and control, and various artificial intelligence technologies. In terms of industries, the center mainly develops intelligent service robots in healthcare, medical assistance, and emergency rescue to take the lead in intelligent robotics industry. For example, humanoid robots, space robot, medical robots, robotics exoskeleton, rehabilitation robots, prosthetic hands, robotic bionic eye, etc., have been developed in the center.
